I plan to put the pots on anyway, so should end up with the extreme filter mods, front controls for this (cut-off and reso), FM mod, Line in Mod, & massive Midi improvements. Just fitting filter pots would be fun, hands-on wise, but that novelty would wear off if I can't automate what I'm producing. The hawk mods adds a lot of functionality, midi control over lots of parameters, making the unit much more useful in the studio. It was actually given to me many years ago by someone who thought it was broken, and so did I for a long time until I looked into it recently. With a better midi implementation and better filters I'll use likely it more in my setup. The filter mods are going to be fun I hope. The original mk1 doesn't save patches (unless C-cells are fitted and working at all time!) - as mentioned above you can do a mod to add the internal coin battery to fix that.
